From Sketch to Final: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at My Creative Process

Ever wonder how a digital artwork transforms from a rough idea into a polished final piece? In this quick behind-the-scenes breakdown, I’m sharing my full creative process—from the first messy sketch to the finished illustration.

1. The Rough Sketch

I start with loose shapes and quick lines to capture the overall pose and mood. This stage is all about energy, not perfection.

2. Clean Line Art

Once the sketch feels right, I refine the lines and define the details. This is where the character or concept really starts to take shape.

3. Base Colors + Lighting

I lay down flat colors, then build up lighting to set the tone. Color instantly changes the mood and helps guide the viewer’s eye.

4. Final Polish

The last stage is my favorite—adding highlights, textures, and tiny details that make the artwork feel alive.
